Ever since it started getting cooler the insides of my nostrils have become extremely dry, and mucus seems to meld to the insides of my nostrils like cement, making it impossible to get out and extremely painful to move my nostrils in any fashion. My nose bleeds sometimes if I get the boogers out like the boogers are ripping the inside of my nostrils skin off, and it is again very painful. This has never happened to me before, and if anything my nose is usually extremely runny this time of year. No Tylenol sinus medicines have worked, not sure what to try, please help.

I have had sinus problems my entire life.

Try a saline wash. Get a squeeze ball like the ones they use on new born babies in the hospital. put one teaspoon of salt in 16 oz of war water. Add a pinch of baking soda (helps with the salt burn). Use the squeeze bulb to suck up the solution and inject it into your nostril. You should be over the sink as fluid will come out the other side.

I know it sounds gross but the doctors have had me do this and it works well.

Good luck.

I used to have the same problem! My pediatrician. Go out and buy petroleum jelly and Saline Nasal Spray. In each nostril sniff in the saline for about 3 seconds. Let it dry and put very little , just enough to coat, and put it on the inside skin and cartilage of the nostril. This helped me a lot!

Hi there,

A very good, eye-opening site about this problem is: http://memoryloss.toptips.org

Memory loss may be due to many conditions such as small strokes in the brain, diabetes, high blood pressure, nutritional deficiencies, reactions to medications and alcoholism. The symtoms of more severe forms of Dementia / Alzheimer are mainly: poor judgement, poor decision making, masplacing things, difficulty having a conversation, losing track of dates, etc. If you notice any of these signs visit your doctor.

Bye Bye

On average, a person swallows 7 spiders when they are sleeping over the course of their life. So just imagine how many spiders go up your nose. Little fella was probably just going to visit relatives.

It happens when indoor heat is turned up. Use a cold air humidifier. Sinus medicines and sprays will make it worse. Loosen deposits with warm wet cloth as a compress, and blow gently. Do not use aspirin or blood thinners causing nose to bleed.

you go to Walmart and you buy a little humidifier-----mine was $11 so I got two, one for my living room and one for the bedroom. they're small, and run for 24 hours on one tank of water. but they need filters, usually sold separately when refills are needed.
