I have a 16 year old guest coming to stay with us soon who has chronic asthma, he has to take 3 inhalers a day to help him breath. Is there any kind of massage I can do that will help? Also are there any particular essential oils that may help?

I thought I answered this earlier oh wellllll

Accupressure is a great hands on remedy Sure hope it helps.

As far as I know be very careful with essential oils as they could actually aggravate the condition. The site I entered below has information on both.

Good luck

Asthma

Asthma [Respiratory] is a natural homeopathic medicine for control of the symptoms of asthma and bronchitis, including difficulty in breathing, shortness of breath, tightness of chest, wheezing or coughing. Contains 20 percent USP Alcohol.

CAUTION: For asthma sufferers only. Seek medical assistance immediately if symptoms do not improve within 1 hour or become worse. Do not use this product unless you have been diagnosed by a doctor as having asthma. If you have ever been hospitalized for asthma, or if you currently take any prescription drugs for asthma, use only when directed by a doctor.

Take 10–15 drops under the tongue every 10–15 minutes or as needed until symptoms improve; then decrease to every one or two hours, then to four times daily until symptoms are relieved. For children under 12, consult your health care professional.

Essential Oils as considerations at same website for Respiratory concerns Thyme Linalol, Pine Needle, Peppermint, Rosemary or Cinnamon. Although it's hard to say what this poor kid is allergic too. There are several natural routes to help this childs asthma if the parents would be interested in trying them out. Oriental Acupuncture is another natural route to try.

I personally have stopped taking all of the meds prescribed for a chronic pain syndrome and gone the Natural route. Definitely feel better than I did before without worrying about destroying my digestive system. Not 100% pain free, yet that is OK!
